Produced by Swedish duo Bloodshy & Avant, "My Prerogative" is Britney Spears' cover version of the second single from Bobby Brown's 1988 album, Don't Be Cruel. Replacing the new jack swing vibes of the original with a glossy synth pop sound, the lead track from her first official compilation, Greatest Hits: My Prerogative, went on to reach number one in Finland, Ireland, Italy, and Norway, and the Top Ten in another 14 countries on its release in 2004.
