I really enjoyed this album when it came out. Evanescence wasn't doing anything new, even though the media thought they were.

One of those rare albums that has no B-side. All wonderful tracks, voiced nicely and backed skillfully. Evanescence didn't suffer the typical sophomore slump with their followup album, either. :)

evanescence is just too good. i think amy lee has a very very good voice. i've seen her live and it sounded just like that, she does NOT use computer. if you want to see how beautiful her voice is listen to the song Hello from the album Fallen. and of course she sounds a little diff in concert you know how much pressure there is to jump around and sing loudly... most of her songs probably require...

WOOT WOOT! Evanescence ROCKS! Amy's voice is beautiful! And they have their OWN style, No copy! All who say diffrent are HATERS!!! shame on you haters! Dang, there are alot of people who are jealous out there! makes me so sad :(

I would recommend this to anyone that likes quality music. This is one of the best albums I've ever heard. It hard rock but Amy has the voice of an angel. The music is amazing! This is a must have!!!

I doubt parents would let them listen to this CD because of it's "dark" and "sad" lyrics. But I listen to this CD cause it soothes me when I'm in a bad mood. Her Voice is NOT squeaky, it's just different. To me her voice is pretty low pitched. Her songs can vary a bit more. But other than that, great songs.

By far the most irritating vocals to hit the airwaves since Tiny Tim. Like fingernails on a chalkboard, her thin, squeaky, whiny voice is difficult to bear, even for a few seconds, let alone minutes. Add to this the fact that the songs are almost indistinguishable from one another, and it boggles the mind why this stuff even makes it to the radio. I'd rather listen to ambulance sirens for...
