Kitchenaid 1/2 HP DisposerPuntos Fuertes: Quiet, name brand, vibration free Puntos Débiles: Could have been more powerful, but this is not bad either. I bought it to replace a waste King disposer that I had. The bracket was different, but the height of the drain port was the same as the old model so I did not have to adjust the plumbing at all. The entire installation took about 2 hours from start to finish. The product works great.

KitchenAid KCDB250 garbage disposer 1/2 HPPuntos Fuertes: The directions are very easy to follow, read them all first before you start. Puntos Débiles: It sounds a little louder than the old one, maybe not as smooth. We replaced our KitchenAid disposer that we purchased in 1991 (it started to hum) with this one. It is basically the same as the old one and it took about 2 hours to replace it. First we turned off the breaker to the disposer. We had to detach the old electric line and reattach it to the new disposer. Since we replaced our old disposer we didn't need to use the flange. It works fine!

Great disposer at a great pricePuntos Fuertes: Original lasted 17 years; replaced with same model. It's easy to install by a nonprofessional. I don't run bones or banana peels through it, but it handles everything else easily. Puntos Débiles: No weaknesses. I'm a one person household, and this disposer is perfect for me. It's reasonably quiet, takes up little space under the sink, and it makes very quick work of most food waste. Every once in a great while, if I try to run a LOT of waste through in a short time, the drain pipe outside the disposer outlet will get clogged.
