SMITH is really its own ball of flaming wax, with enough sizzling chemistry between stars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt to blow up a small building. He shows he is equally adept in comedy and action, and she manages to set new screen standards of bad-ass sexiness. It's impossible to dislike this pair, or a movie that makes being married seem like such insane fun. Pitt and Jolie play extremely skilled professional assassins who have managed to stay married for five years without ever realizing each other's profession because they work for rival agencies and the work is top secret. When their paths eventually cross on a high-level hit, one of the most lethal battles of the sexes in the history of cinema is officially on. Thanks to a genuinely witty script, the issue isn't who will win, but whether the couple will realize they are meant for each other before it's too late. Director Doug Liman was obviously the right choice for the material, having proved his ability to fuse engaging romance with knuckle-biting action in 2002's THE BOURNE IDENTITY. The comedy is sophisticated and witty, the action is visceral and intense, and there is plenty of satisfying eye candy. Another plus is Vince Vaughn as a fast-talking fellow hit man who lives with his mother. The cinematography is by Bozan Bajelli (the genius behind Abel Ferrara's best mid-1980s work) who imbues each environment, whether it's the Smith's house, or the urban streets--with its own evocative color scheme and feel. Mr. and Mrs. Smith Unrated; 2-Disc Collector's...The acting was good (not perfect, i've never been a Brad Pitt fan and I'm not going to start now). The action scenes were great, some weren't believable (like most movies of this genre), and the visuals were good. I liked the story. Anyway.... Angelina Jolie. Enough said.

I loved itWho cares about Hollywood rumors? I think they were great together in the movie. The plot itself was exciting, wife vs husband, and besides, I like assassin themes too. My whole family liked it and also thought of this movie as humorous in a way.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith Unrated; 2-Disc Collector's...This movie isnt all that good the storyline is ok and the action sences were ok but other then that the movie was kinda dull.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith Unrated; 2-Disc Collector's...I thought this movie was excellent. I had the pleasure of seeing it with some people who hadn't seen previews so they had no idea what was going on...but of course those of us who did see the previews pretty much had it ruined for us. But nonetheless its still a great movie with a lot of action and of course, the lame one liners...but you can't have an action without lame one liners right?

Before slipping this DVD into the machine, the spouse and I knew what the conflict was going to be and we could guess how it was going to be resolved. Why buy it? See "strengths" above. But that's not enough to carry a full lengh feature without one or two plot point surprises and a little variety in the action. The title is strange, but yet it got me attichenThe movie was a funny, action pacted film. I have never laughed so hard at a Brad Pitt movie before. Mrs. Jolie never looked so sexy in a movie untill this one.
