Dick. In the year 2054, in Washington, D.C., murder has been eliminated thanks to Precrime, a program that uses the visions of three psychics, called Precogs (an abbreviation for precognitive thinkers), to arrest and imprison would-be murderers before they have a chance to kill. Tom Cruise plays John Anderton, a Precrime enforcer who believes in the system for his own personal reasons--years back his young son was abducted, and he has dealt with the loss by becoming a high-strung Precrime officer. The director of Precrime (Max von Sydow) is eager to take the program national, and feels threatened by an ambitious federal agent (Colin Farrell) who is bent on finding a flaw in the system. When Anderton finds himself accused of the future murder of a man he's never met, his faith in Precrime is instantly shaken. He goes on the run, and is trailed by the relentless Precrime police. In the tradition of BLADE RUNNER (also based on a Dick story), MINORITY REPORT is a dark, brooding vision of the future. Spielberg expertly mixes thrilling chase and suspense sequences (the best of which involves Anderton being pursued by eye-scanning mechanical spiders) and stunning special effects with a challenging look at society's willingness to sacrifice privacy and the notion of free will for convenience and security. MINORITY REPORT is a thought-provoking and exciting film that ranks with Spielberg's best. Minority Report [Blu-ray Boxset]Maybe the best movie about the near future since Total Recall or Blade Runner (both Philip K. Dick stories too). The product placement can be a distraction, but does anyone doubt the world is heading in that direction?

Minority Report [Blu-ray Boxset]A slick, fast, decent Speilberg sci-fi movie. . .good work but I wouldn't call it a 'great' film. . .

Minority Report [Blu-ray Boxset]A disappointing adaptation of the book although few sci-fi movies do that really well. The most irritating thing was that, while I understand product placement would seem a necessary evil in the modern Hollywood movie, this movie seemed little more than a 90 minute commercial with a poorly interpreted sci-fi story wrapped arond it.

Minority Report [Blu-ray Boxset]I thoroughly enjoyed this film. I’m not usually a big fan of movies with Tom Cruise in them, but this one was certainly different. I was surprised to find it being long, as when I was watching it the time flew by.

Minority Report [Blu-ray Boxset]Wow, this movie just kept going and going . . . I don't even know why they called it "Minority Report", since really that aspect of the movie wasn't that big. Anyway, it was just a showcase of futuristic design and concepts, with a mediocre storyline thrown in there. It does bring up a good question: Is fate absolute? Or can it be altered? Otherwise, it's a movie that may be worth...

Minority Report [Blu-ray Boxset]Not an intriguing movie or even all that entertaining. Nothing more than a "good guy gets framed by the bad guy" kind of film. The fact it tries to establish this notion of thought police is done better elsewhere(1984). The acting isn't particularly good in most cases and there is just too much time spent trying to establish suspense but fails. A partially edited version might be better... Publicidad |
