Marilyn Manson : Antichrist Superstar [PA]Marilyn Manson is greatly talented and respected among many people. He has a wonderful artistic appearance and is probably one of the few people that lend us a part of their lives with as much music as he has given us. Funny that people have to trash him on the internet when they could protest at one of their concerts and what makes the best of the best of that is the show goes on and you'll be laughed at the morning after. You'll never have what he does and that is true admiration. Is this why people get on the computer to trash him? No, it's envy. :) ¿Te ha parecido útil o inútil? Tope

Marilyn Manson : Antichrist Superstar [PA]Mike, anybody that listens to the completely mindless, identical bubblegum crap needs violence done to them. Anyway, this is by far Manson's best work. The storyline has so much depth- From the rise of the Worm to Antichrist Superstar ascendant to his eventual fall. This fits right in with Mechanical Animals, as it's the dual opposite of that album. About Cooper: I love the guy, but his songs were about one thing- Sex. He had nowhere NEAR the depth of Manson. Besides, he became a Fundie ages ago. ¿Te ha parecido útil o inútil? Tope

Marilyn Manson : Antichrist Superstar [PA]Marilyn Manson has changed my life with good and bad influences. I think he is really intelligent and has a great personality. People shouldn't judge him or his music before they properly understand exactly what he is trying to do and how he came about. I think he is very attractive in a dark sense and he is naturally sexy for saying what he thinks, etc. Because of him, he has converted me from a poppy arse into someone who isn't nieve and loves rock music/heavy metal. Marilyn Manson should be credited for his work, he is good at drama, art and english. He is my idol. Marilyn Manson : Antichrist Superstar [PA]I remember back in public school, I had a crush on this girl Katie. I liked her since grade 3, but she had a boyfriend by grade 4 so I never did tell her. By the time they broke up in grade six, I had more interest in other girls. Anyways, by that time she was into Grunge and really into Nirvana. I didn't have that big an interest in music, until The Offsprings Smash Album was around for a while, so I never really cared much when Kurt Cobain Died. But Katie really took it to the heart. In Grade Seven she wrote a detailed Speech about everything Kurt Kobain did in his entire life, and then she went on about how everyone will miss her. In grade 8 Katie was a goth, and she left all of her old little cheery friends to hang out with these four other goth chicks. I hated these other chicks. They had always given me attitude. These chicks were totally into manson at that point, like it was the result of something dramatic that happened to them, the previous summer. These five girls were all pretty hot, and Manson was the only thing they talked about. One of them shaved her head bald, except for her bangs. Then she grew them long, and died them bright purple, and wore a doylie on top of her baldness. She did this during the winter time. As these goths, the 5 girls put out more attitude than ever. I never went to high school with any of them. My high school was very hard against those kids. By that time, all of them were figured to have skid marks on their underwear. Any kid that came there goth, turned into something else the first week of school, so they could avoid the massive beatings, book-knockings, and smacks upside the head as they walked around the school and town. "The beatiful people" was a strange culture shock, that happened the same time I started high school. This dirty s*** that those freaks listened to back in public school, (That's what they preffered to be called) was on mainstream daytime music television. As I somehow remembered all this at once today, I realsised something big about what happened at this point: Courtney may, or may not have been the sole person responsible for Kurt Cobains death, but she is not the only one to use his death as an excuse to become a big star. That's right. Manson was basically taking the tragedy that made little grunge girls everywhere feel like s***, and turned their pain into something more twisted, depressing, perverted and sadistic. I'm not saying Manson was made because of these girls. Goth-punk culture has been around long before Marilyn Manson was anything. But with the loss of a pioneer in a new generation of music, the lives of young adults everywhere were broken into shambles, resorting to suicide, self masocism, and biterness. Even the cute and good looking girls were feeling this massive pain, and anything that they use to think was discusting, became brilliant. Their were tons of hot chicks who turned to goth because they could not handle the depresion of the year before. And with the entrance of the goth-chick came a flood of geeks, losers, and spazzes. Millions of bloated and holmley girls wanted to be accepted. With the goth look making their more attractive friends from childhood, look less atractive like them, they figured it was the best way to have wild fun, without caring about physical attraction. And there were millions of shriveled little boys with crooked backs and greasy hair that figured this was the best way to score with someone completely out of their league. The goth-chick illusion was what brought so many squeaky voiced prematurities into the gothic look. But eventually that illusion faded when most of the hot goth chicks realised how immature they were acting, and how many hot looking guys there were, out in the real world. Around grade eleven I ran into one of the 5 girls from public school, at a rave in Toronto. As it turns out, her and two others of the 5 were happy hardcore candy raverists. Later on that year I got word that the fourth one (the one with the doylie) had turned into a raging, cracked-out slut. I never did hear whatever happened to Katie. I don't know if she's still a goth, or what kind of people she hangs out with. I don't know if she ever decided to cheer up, or fall into a depression and live like a vampire. When she became a goth, I became unnatracted to her, mainley because of the attitude that these girls had. I don't picture her being a goth today. She was never that hardcore into the makeup, piercings, and overall proudness of being a freak. She basically wore black clothes, and dyed her hair a dull maroon colour. She'd have the attitude, but only when spoken to. I don't know if she's still got attitude or not. But I do know that for four long years of childhood, she was the most beautiful thing on the entire planet to me. There was no other girl in the world that meant anything. Marilyn Manson : Antichrist Superstar [PA]even though it's my second fav albom from him (the first being mechanical animals), i must say this albom kept me company NON STOP for half a year, and i even had to get another copy cus i overplayed it eventually. this albom is the most hardcore-evil like-shockgoth albom to be ever created. it contains his most aggressivly powerful songs, and his most beautiful one (man that you fear). this albom got me into rock, nietzche, and lyric writing, which was more than any other artist or music. ¿Te ha parecido útil o inútil? People forget that Charles Manson's family vicioulsy murdered 5 people including a pregnant woman, and now this psycho-melodramatic fake, brian warner wants to take his name, act disgusting, call his show art, and all that. I used to think he was all that but he's just a show. Marilyn Manson : Antichrist Superstar [PA]I used to really be into Manson and I felt this was his peak album. It contains some of his greatest songs as well as his hardest. You won't find any of that dope show crap on this cd. Lots of weird samples and stupid creepy lyrics. I can still listen to and love the songs tyrniquet and Man that you fear. This is a very good crappy album by a very over dramatic artist. Also you can feel and hear the touched Trent Reznor added when he mixed and produced this album. Marilyn Manson : Antichrist Superstar [PA]Quite the characterm this Manson fellow is. I am really intrigued by his whole image, style and behaviors I am always curious to see what his new look is like and what trned/fad he is trying to launch next. That is kind of where my fascination in Marilyn ends. This record has a couple of driving songs on it that get your blood pumping, but unless you are a hard core Manson fan or Goth hard rock fan, the average music lstener will not be blown away or attracted to this record. I hope this guy stays in the limelight because I find his persona really interesting. I doubt that I will be buying any more of his music though. ¿Te ha parecido útil o inútil? Tope  |

for all of you CHILDREN who stated that marilyn manson was a fad.. you are retarded... he had more albums before Antichrist Superstar... he actually was really good when he first started out as Marilyn Manson and the Spooky kids.. a fad he was not, being that he is still making music after all these years and people are still buying it. if he was indeed a fad no one would be buying his stuff anymore. Although, his albums after Antichrist superstar have gone down hill and are way too glam rock.. and that sucks.
