Puntos Débiles: Has a step lever that will auto rewind the cord, seems like it is spring based... I am assuming that it will one day not be as efficient. Small canister. But for the sucking power it is worth it.

I have a pretty thick carpet and this vacuum does the cleaning job very well. Activate the motor for carpet floors and the head spins to suck in dirt by suctioning it and sweeping it in. Has 4 cleaning tool heads and a small cleaning brush. Has enough power that I could probably leave it running in "carpet cleaning mode" and have the motor run into my neighbors yard. ;)

NICE BAGLESS CANISTER

Overall, I'm satisfied with this vac. If I wasn't comparing it to my Fantom Lightning, which died an unexpected premature death, I would probably be very pleased with it. It has an attractive modern design and has plenty of suction. I particulary like the three levels of suction which you can easily vary from the hand control nozzle. The beater brushes do a good job of getting the grit up out of the carpet and they work nicley all the way to the edge of the cleaning head. It seems a little heavy when moving it around behind you, but again, I'm comparing it to the Fantom. Hopefully, the extra weight will mean a more durable machine than the one I had before. The dirt cup, which separates the fine grit from the other junk, is a very nice feature!

This unit is junk controls on handle stopped working ,there are no parts to repair unit . Hoover inc. tells me I just have to wait parts coming in every day. Waiting one month now told could be another month . It seems consumer comes last in HOOVER,s eyes . Would never buy another Hovver or Maytag product again.

Recommended! A great purchase

Other than the relatively small collection container, this vacuum is awesome. After being informed by my cleaning crew that I needed a new vacuum, I asked them for recommendations based on the fact that they clean lots of houses and have more experience with vacuums than most people ever would. The canister style was their choice without hesitation and this one in particular due to the fact that it's a bagless unit. I've used it quite a bit myself, and it's quite impressive. Works as you'd expect it to and it's relatively easy to lug around, despite it being heavier than some other canister units. Most importantly, my house cleaner says it works better than most other vacuums she's used that are much more expensive. Specifically, she said this one is better than the Miele and Electrolux ones she uses every week.

One feature I specifically like is how the power vacuum head adjusts to the height of your carpet automatically. It does this surprisingly well.

The small container does need to be emptied much more frequently than my old upright HEPA bagless vacuum, but considering how much better this one works, it's worth it.

Just empty the collection container in the garage or outside, because it can get dusty doing that.

This unit replaces our 10 year old Fantom Lightning. The new unit is superior or comparable to the previous machine except for the dirt cup capacity. We're pleased with the overall value for a hepa canister machine under $200.

I bought this vacuum based on high recommendations and a good price from Amazon. It is a replacement for an old Oreck upright that was many years old. So far, I am pretty satisfied. This vacuum is fairly quiet, has very good suction (three levels), and a button toggles the beater bar on and off. The length of the hose bar extends and retracts easily with the press of another button on the bar. In one sense, having a bagless design is a plus--no expensive bags to buy--but is also a bit of a drawback. The dirt container is very small. It needed to be emptied after a single vacuuming of my house. (Though the floors were quite dirty since the old Oreck had not been working.) It can be a bit messy to empty the container and clean the filter, but the design is good and easy to work with. All in all, I think this is a very good vacuum for the money.

Great Vacuum!

I just rec'd this vacuum today and can't say enough about it. We have a dog and this vacuum got so much more dirt up than my old upright. I couldn't believe just how much dust and dirt I was leaving behind. I had just vacuumed a few days ago! I always dreaded doing the stairs so I usually saved them for last. Not today! Did them first and was done in minimal time. The canister is not that heavy and is portable enough to get it up and down the stairs easily. The telescopic wand is great to get under the furniture. The cord and hose could be just a tad longer (so I could make it all the way to the top of my stairs without moving the canister). Emptying the dirt cup and cleaning the filter is a dirty job so I did it outside. I rinsed the filter and dirt cup after, and that's it! Can't wait till the next time I vacuum! Did I really say that?

Great vacuum cleaner!

I've been using this vacuum cleaner for a week now and am very impressed by the suction power. After my initial use my carpets actually felt softer. The telescoping suction bar is convenient and the hand beater brush is excellent for furniture.

My only complaints are the small size of the waste canister and the cleanup hassle of the hepa filter.

Overall it's well worth the $152 I paid for it at Amazon.com.

I have two dogs and this vacuum did a great job. My wife could not believe the dirt and hair I vacuumed up the first time. The only drawback is the small cannister,but it is rather eazy to empty. I would recommend this vacuum to anyone that wants a lightweight cannister vacuum.

I have two dogs. This collects lots of dirt and hair which is impressive but it is messy to empty. I empty the dust catcher into a grocery bag outside, then seal it immediately. I still get dust all over my hands. The filter has many fins which you need to clean all the junk out of. You can rinse it out, but it takes 2-3 days to dry. You really need an extra filter to keep using the vacuum regularly. You need to keep the filter clean otherwise it will start smelling like your animals.

Quiet and strong

We bought this vacuum to replace our dying Dirt Devil cannister. Its handle has all the controls to turn the vacuum on and set the suction level. The attachments connect and disconnect easily, and there is even a light which tells you to clean the filter with the included brush. We are very happy with it and our 4 year old loves to use it to help clean up! The telescoping handle is pretty nice too.

We have two cats and this vacuums collets lot of dirt and hair that what I expected. The previous machine (Shark) need to clean the dirt container more frequently than this machine.
