The brother TN580 high yield toner produces a whopping 7000 pages. We use that in our MFC 8860DN laser all-in-one, which is our primary printer / copier. The toner does what it supposed to - produce clean copies with efficiency. Cost wise it is better than normal toner, which produces only half of the yield but costs about 3 quarters of this toner.

Brother High Yield TN580

Puntos Fuertes: This cartridge is rated at 7500 pages which, for its price works out to about one tenth of one cent assuming you buy new cartridges. Obviously if you refill, it's even cheaper.

Puntos Débiles: Some have told me that they think that the printing is a bit fine, but I think it is very readable.

We have been using Brother printers for the last two years and are extremely happy with their performance. The price of the actual printers, as well as the high yield toner cartridges, make them a very economical choice for business users. The fact that they are very fast doesn't hurt.

We have recently started using Brother equipment. Our experince so far has been excellent. It is easy to become familiar with the feautures. It has exceeded our expectations. Supplies are easy to install and affordable.

Well worth extra cost

Over years, I have used many different Brother laser cartridges with their MFCs and printers: TN460, TN540, TN350 and TN580. All were high quality and long-lasting. My brief experimentation with compatibles - even brand names - left me underwhelmed as they dropped blotches of ink, smeared and didn't last as long. In short, the upfront "savings" were short-lived. Furthermore, Brother provides labels to free-ship the cartridges back to them for recycling - a nice touch. My only gripe is that they tend to change their drums and cartridges with every new generation of printers/MFCs. Other then that, I recommend genuine Brother cartridges, including TN580, highly.

High Yield Toner for Brother HL5250DN

I did a search for the best deal on toner for my new Brother HL5250DN duplex printer (which is sooooo awesome, by the way) and found it through Pricegrabber.com. I LOVE this website!!! Buy.com is the BEST place to buy toner - best deals, not refurbished or OEMs! All manufacturer originals! Anyway, I highly suggest getting the high yield toner vs. standard. But in my situation, I guess because I primarily use this printer for duplexing, the high yield toner didn't seem to last very long at all. In fact, I wrote down the date I put it in and the date it ran out and it was only 1 month and a few days time. Like I said, it could just be because I'm duplexing so much. Well, that's my two cents. It's taken me awhile to write this review because, even though I bought the product several months ago for my MFC 8660, my previous Brother TN550 just refused to die. Even after a low toner warning, a shake of the cartridge let me go through more than a ream of paper. The new cartridge, which is supposed to last even longer, certainly prints well, and I can only hope the drum unit lasts as long as advertised. I had an older Brother laser printer which was also a beast, but I'm not so impressed with their inkjets.

Best toner for your money

Very good replacement toner, it does actually last at least twice longer with no issues. Easy to install, I paid less than seventy dollars for it on-line. Don't hesitate to buy it for replacement.

Great Quality But Not High Yeild

Puntos Fuertes: It simply works great! As I use this Bother printer daily for business, I do not have to worry for any problem. Simply replacing the toner, the printer works perfectly.

Puntos Débiles: It does not yield 7500 pages as advertised. I only got about 5000 pages out of each toner.

When the printer "thinks" the toner is end of life, it does not allow me printing additional pages. It should allow user continuing to print until the user decides it is the time for toner replacement. I guess that is how Bothers makes money.

This is my second time purchasing this cartridge. The quality is awesome and the print cost per page is excellent. I would highly recommend this toner cartridge over the standard TN 550.

Solid Replacement Cartdridge

I decided to go with the high yield cartridge for my HL-5250DN printer since its cost per page was significantly cheaper than the regular cartridge. I just hope the toner holds out as well as it is rated. Changing the cartridge was easy and print quality is excellent, just as you would expect from the original Brother cartridge and toner. I've had bad experiences with the "compatible" toner cartridges in the past, so it's all original Brother cartridges for me from now on.

Great value on toner

This is a very good value for your money. This is my first refill after using the included toner that came with my printer and I figured that the cost per page with the higher yield toner cartridge was well worth the cost. I was able to get this using the buy / Google checkout coupon so my cost per page was reduced even more. Installation was very easy and not messy at all.
